Playful Glamour

This late 19th-century Cambridge house was purchased in 2009 by a young family. We transformed the two-family, rent-controlled home into an updated, colorful space.

The home’s centerpiece is a dramatic dining room inspired by the work of Post-Impressionist Henri Rousseau. It features a fantasy landscape of exotic flora and fauna.

Two years after the initial renovations and decorating of the public spaces, the couple decided to redo their second-floor bedrooms. Ample use of color, bold graphics, and retro Pop Art provided fresh energy and created a fun, 1960s vibe.
