Red Hot Mama

After years of renting their late-19th century house in Cambridge to graduate students, the owners returned with their three young children in 2007.

Still in its original condition after years of neglect, the Arts and Crafts style cottage had a dim and tired interior. But with determination and on a tight budget, we brightened, updated and transformed the home.

Color and hardware––fresh coats of paint on the walls and trim, as well as doorknobs and cabinet pulls––infused the house with character. An extension of the family itself, the updated space now exudes joy and enthusiasm that represents the homeowners.
